Complete Nielsen Ratings: February 29 - March 6, 2016
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #93:
CBS and NBC split the weekly leadership ratings, with CBS grabbing the most viewers and the most households, while NBC leads in the younger demographic ratings. Both networks placed second in their non-leading categories, placing FOX and ABC in a battle for third place.
For CBS, it had this week's #1 show, NCIS (15.4 million viewers) and eight of the top ten. Of the top 30 programs, CBS hauled in 17 of those spots, including encores of three series. Only two of the Saturday night programs failed to rank 45th or better for CBS.
NBC's demographic wins come from the spring season premiere of THE VOICE. Both nights of the series were the only two network programs to score an A18-49 rating of a 3.0 or better. In fact, the next closest demo rating is from 2.6 from MODERN FAMILY, almost a half point back from Tuesday's THE VOICE. NBC only placed six shows in the top 30, with the season finale of THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA (#18) ranking as the most watched scripted series for NBC.
It was a down week for ABC, after winning last week's ratings. MODERN FAMILY (#13) was the highest ranked show from the network and GREY'S ANATOMY (#17) was the top drama. ABC placed just five shows in the top 30 and the once hit series HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER only ranked 47th on the week.
FOX took a double hit this week, with AMERICAN IDOL (#11) dropping to just one night a week and no THE X-FILES on Monday nights. Sunday's overrun of the NASCAR race was FOX's only other entry in the top 30.
