  • CBS axes comedy
  • STAR TREK has a show runner

CBS axes freshman comedy:
After just five episodes, CBS has cancelled sitcom, ANGEL FROM HELL. Ratings have not been horrible, but the writing was on the wall when the series was bumped from the fall schedule to mid-season. 2 BROKE GILRS will move back to Thursdays to fill the void.



STAR TREK has a showrunner:
Bryan Fuller has been named co-creator and show runner of the new CBS STAR TREK series, set to debut in January 2017. Fuller has previously worked on PUSHING DAISIES, HANNIBAL and DEAD LIKE ME.



Amazon renews JUNGLE:
Sophomore Amazon series, MOZART IN THE JUNGLE has been renewed for a third season.



LeBlanc signed to CBS comedy:
Matt LeBlanc will star in the new CBS comedy, I'M NOT YOUR FRIEND. CBS has given a pilot commitment to the project and LeBlanc a 13 episode commitment.



USA Picks up SHOOTER series:
USA network gives a 10-episode order to the new series, SHOOTER, based on the 2007 theatrical movie. Ryan Phillippe will take over the lead role, which starred Mark Wahlberg in the movie.



More KHLOE:
FYI has ordered a second season of the reality series, KOCKTAILS WITH KHLOE.
