Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 02/24/2016

The Wednesday night ratings was a three dog race, with FOX, ABC and CBS all fighting for shares of the nightly win. All three nets tied in the A18-49 demo, with a 1.7 rating, and just a tenth of a point separated the three networks in the A25-54 demo. CBS dominated in total viewers, with over eight million. FOX and ABC tied in the A18-34 demo.

The number one show of the night was AMERICAN IDOL, scoring the most viewers and #2 in all three demographics. ABC's MODERN FAMILY was #1 in the three demos. Both shows saw growth week-to week.

The lowest rated show, outside of the CW, was MYSTERIES OF LAURA. It brought in the lowest demo numbers from a Big four network program and was the third lowest in total viewers.  Oddly enough, MOL also pull the lowest share among Women, 18-49.

Wednesdays is beginning to be The CW's most consistent night. Both series, ARROW and SUPERNATURAL, pull in relatively good numbers, with solid retention at 9 PM. That is unlike Tuesday and Thursday nights and their 9 PM shows.
