Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 02/25/2016

FOX was the top network of the night, edging out CBS. AMERICAN IDOL drew a consistent 8.7 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in Adults 18-49, over the two hour program. That is up a tenth of a point in the demo and a gain of 500,000 viewers, over last week's numbers.

CBS was a close second place on the night. It won the 8 PM hour, with its combo of THE BIG BANG THEORY and LIFE IN PIECES. It beat ABC in the A18-49 and A25-54 demos at 9 PM, and ELEMENTARY swept past SHADES OF BLUE for second place at 10 PM.

ABC's three hit dramas are not performing like hits. All three are down from last week;s ratings and SCANDAL, one the darling of Thursday nights, is now a third place series, behind IDOL and the two CBS comedies.

NBC was a non-player on Thursday night, scoring numbers closer to The CW than any of the other Big-4 networks. YOU, ME AND THE APOCALYPSE fifth in its time slot, losing to LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, across the board. THE BLACK LIST dropped to 4th in the 9 PM hour and SHADES OF BLUE was last at 10 PM.
