Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 02/18/2016

Thursday night was another night of lower ratings, as ABC and FOX took the biggest week-to-week hits. For ABC, its Thursday night average dropped 800,000 viewers and the A18-49 demographic fell about 15%. FOX saw AMERICAN IDOL lose 900k in total viewers. NBC saw its average lose about 10%, while CBS was flat, week-to-week.

THE BIG BANG THEORY was the #1 show of the night, but its losses from last week were 1.4 million viewers and 17% in the A18-34 demographic. CBS made up the ground on its three other comedies. MOM, the biggest gainer, rose 600,000 viewers. MOM & LIFE IN PIECES grew in the A25-54 demo and 2 BROKE GIRLS improved the A18-49 demo, over last week's 9:30 BIG BANG encore.

For ABC, HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER saw viewership drop one million viewers, the A18-34 demo lose 33% and the A18-49 demo fall 23%. SCANDAL was down 29% in the A18-49 demographic and GREY'S ANATOMY's A18-34 demo was off by 15%.

AMERICAN IDOL continues to slide as the season progresses, with another 10% gone from last Thursday's total viewership. But, the demos only dropped a tenth of a point, each.
