It was a competitive, but down night in the ratings, with three of the four networks grabbing shares of the Wednesday night leadership. NBC had most viewers. FOX won the A18-34 and A25-54 demographics. And, ABC and FOX tied in the A18-49 demographic.
The most watched show of the evening was the season premiere of SURVIVOR. With 8.3 million viewers, a 1.9 rating in the A18-49 demo and a 2.7 rating in the A25-54 demo. That is down 15% in the A18-49 demo from both the 2015 spring and fall premieres. Year-to-year, total viewership is down by 1.8 million viewers.
AMERICAN IDOL was down, week-to-week, by close to 10% in the A18-49 demo and one million total viewers. HELL'S KITCHEN took a slight hit, dropping a tenth of a point the demos.
ABC was right there with FOX in all thee demographic categories, but it was fourth in total viewers. MODERN FAMILY was the #1 program of the night, in all three demo categories, including a 1.6 in the A18-34 age group.
