Final Broadcast Ratings: February 14, 2016
It was a rather mediocre Valentine's Day,for TV, on Sunday night, as all fur networks shared part of the nightly leadership. FOX, NBC and ABC were tops in the A18-34 demographic, with a 0.8 rating. CBS took total viewers (8.7 million) and tied NBC for the A25-54 demo (1.6 rating). And, NBC topped the A18-49 demographic with a 1.2 rating.
CBS had the four most watched programs of the night, winning every hour in total viewership. 60 MINUTES and MADAM SECRETARY were two of the top three shows in the A25-54 demo, scoring a 1.8 ratings each.
NBC had the #1 program of the night in both the A18-49 demo and the A25-54 demo, with a special two hour Valentine's Day edition of THE TONIGHT SHOW. The special posted a 1.4 rating in the A18-49 demographic and a 1.9 rating in the A25-54 demographic.
ABC could have won the night had it not aired a special new episode of CASTLE. The crime drama, regularly on Monday nights, drew just 4.1 million viewers and a dismal 0.4 rating in the A18-34 demographic. CASTLE drew the lowest numbers of the night in younger demographic category. AFV was the network's best performer, scoring best numbers in all but the A18-34 demographic, for ABC.
