US Box Office Results: January 22 - 24, 2016
In its fifth weekend in release, THE REVENANT finally makes it to the #1 spot, collecting $16 million. The film overtakes last week's #1, RIDE ALONG, which dropped to third place, with $13 million. THE REVENANT has brought in $119 million in its domestic take.
STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS continues to roll, with another $14 million. The film has collected just under $880 million in the domestic market and a little over $1.9 billion worldwide.
This week's three new releases occupied the #4, #5 and #6 spots, with less then stellar numbers. DIRTY GRAMPA, THE BOY and THE 5TH WAVE all took in over $10 million.
