Primetime Cable Ratings: January 1, 2016

HGTV was all new on New Year's Day and all three hours of programming fell within the top 10 shows of the night. FIXER UPPER lead the way for the network, placing third and grabbing 2.3 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in Adults 18-49. HGTV averaged 2.0 million viewers and a 0.4 demo rating.

The SUGAR BOWL was the night's #1 program in both viewership and in the A18-49 demographic. The game drew 8.9 million viewers and a 2.6 demo rating. Last year, the Sugar Bowl was host to one of the two semi-final games of the College Football Playoffs, so year-to-year ratings are way down.
