Preliminary Ratings: Friday 01/15/2016

It was a tight battle on Friday night, as ABC, CBS and FOX were bunched together in the ratings. All three networks posted a 1.2 rating in the A18-49 demographic, While CBS edged out the A25-54 demo win with a 1.8 rating and FOX took the A18-34 demo win with a 0.9 rating. ABC was second in both of the latter two categories.

The season premiere of HELL'S KITCHEN premiered a little soft, grabbing 3.4 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49, but it is about 50% better than the former occupant of the time slot, WORLD'S FUNNIEST. Last year, HELL'S KITCHEN drew 4.1 million viewers and a 1.4 demo rating, for its Tuesday night season premiere.

BLUE BLOODS was the night's most watched show, with 10.5 million viewers, and scored the third best A18-49 rating (1.3) and the night's best A25-54 demo rating, a 1.9. SHARK TANK tied with MASTERCHEF JR. for the night top A18-49 demo, with a 1.4 rating. MASTERCHEF is also the #1 show of the night in the A18-34 demo.

Outside of the CW, the two NBC comedies were the lowest rated programs of the night, in all four categories.
