Final Broadcast Ratings: January 8, 2016

For the third night in a row, FOX is the #1 network on broadcast TV. With back-to-back episodes of MASTERCHEF JR., FOX posted a 1.0 rating in Adults 18-34, a 1.4 rating in Adults 18-49 and a 1.7 rating in Adults 25-54. It has been a good week for FOX.

CBS edged out ABC for the #2 spot of the night, with solid numbers from UNDERCOVER BOSS and the two crime dramas. These three shows gel better than when THE AMAZING RACE leads off the night.

ABC's fall from #1 on the night is a direct result of a mediocre season for SHARK TANK. Friday night, the series posted season lows viewers, and the A18-49 and A25-54 demographics. It lost to HAWAII FIVE-O, head-to-head, at 9 PM. Has the reality series ran its course? Are viewers tired of the series and flipping to something else?

NBC was its usual 4th place, but with a two hour DATELINE, the gap between it and 3rd place was not as wide as usual. The newsmagazine was a close second in its two hour time slot.
