Primetime Cable Ratings: December 2, 2015

With the shooting incident in San Bernardino, CA, taking place on Wednesday, Viewers turned to the cable news networks for continuos news and information. FOX News was the #1 network, taking three of the top four spots, and averaging 5.1 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in the A18-49 demographic, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. CNN was not too far behind, taking the #3, #5 and #6 spots, and averaging 3.7 million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating, over the three hours. Even the usually low rated MSNBC saw a boost in their numbers, averaging 1.4 million viewers and getting all three hours onto the chart.

The top ranking entertainment program was ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE, ranking 7th on the night, with 3.0 million viewers. Reruns of THE BIG BANG THEORY take most of the spots after that, with AMERICAN HORROR STORY mixed in at the #12 spot, with 2.3 million viewers and a night's best 1.2 demo rating.
