US Box Office Results: October 23 - 25, 2015
THE MARTIAN wins its third weekend at the box office, over the last month, hauling in and additional $16 million. After 24 days of release THE MARTIAN has brought in over $166, domestically, well over its $108 million production budget.
New movies took it on the chin this weekend. THE LAST WITCH HUNTER, which cost over $70 million to make, only took in a little under $11 million in its first weekend. It will be lucky to get $40 by the end of its domestic run.
The latest PARANORMAL ACTIVITY couldn't even bring in $10 million. It is the worst start to a movie in the franchise, since the first movie, which had a slow rollout before hitting a wide release.
STEVE JOBS hit wide release this weekend and only collected $7.3 million. With a $30 million production budget, STEVE JOBS may be lucky to get that for its total box office take.
