Ratings Review: 2015 ALCS - Toronto vs Kansas City

The American League Championship Series was mainly played on FOX SPORTS1, with only game one getting on FOX. Of the three primetime games, the FOX broadcast was the most watched and best rated of the series.

Day games usually don't do well in the ratings and the numbers from FS1 can verify that. None of the three day games could draw over three million viewers and the younger demos all scored under a 1.0 rating. The teams playing, the Royals and the Blue Jays, didn't help matters. A small market US team and a Canadian team usually do little to boost the ratings.

As for the game play, Kansas City was just too much for Toronto. Their offense was pedal to the metal for five of the six games. Only one of Toronto's wins game with a low score for KC.

The World series begins on Tuesday, October 27, in Kansas City. Game two is also in KC, the following night. The three games in New York will be on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (if needed). Kansas City will host the final two games, if needed, on November 3 and 4.
