Primetime Cable Ratings: October 1, 2015

Thursday Night Football reigns again, on Thursday night, grabbing both the most viewers (3.6 million) and the top A18-49 rating (1.6). Another good, close game helps out with the ratings, at Baltimore defeated Pittsburgh, in overtime.

FOX News continues to be strong, with all three programs making the top six shows of the night. The A18-49 is beginning to a consistent 0.3 rating, up from a 0.2, just a few weeks earlier. In the long haul, FOX News needs to capitalize on this GOP Presidential race to keep viewers beyond the 2016 election, and revert back to lower demographic ratings.

HGTV also placed all three hours within the top 15 shows, with two each of FIXER UPPER and HOUSE HUNTERS. When you consider it has been about six months since the last original episode of FIXER UPPER, the viewership numbers are rather impressive. New episodes do begin in December.
