Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 10/14/15

The ratings for the networks continue to go down and Wednesday night was no different. ABC and FOX were hit hardest. All four comedies on ABC were down, week-to-week, and both dramas on FOX saw considerable erosion. NBC and CBS held steady, for the most part, and week two on the CW is roughly the same as last week.

Still a force on Wednesday night, EMPIRE drew 12.2 million viewers and a 4.6 rating in the A18-49 demographic. That is down four million viewers and over two full points in the demo, from the season premiere. The series also posted the biggest losses, week-to-week, but starting as much larger numbers, it can handle a larger swing in the numbers.

Those series seeing gains week-to-week are;
NASHVILLE - up 0.2 in the A18-49 demo and +200k in total viewers.
BLACK-ISH - up 0.1 in both the A18-34 and A25-54 demos
CODE BLACK - up 0.1 in the A25-54 demo.
Chicago PD - up 200k in viewers

The lost of Live+SD viewers is not complete being made up in the L+3 or L+7 ratings. I suspect more and more viewers are catching their favorite shows via OnDemand and Online/Mobile platforms. What do you think?
