Preliminary Ratings: Tuesday 10/27/15
Game one of the WORLD SERIES, featuring Kansas City New York Mets, lead FOX to a tuesday night win, as the game collected 15.3 million viewers and a solid 4.6 rating in Adults 18-49. Last Year's game one only drew 12.2 million viewers and a 3.4 rating in the A18-49 demo. The game last night went 14 innings and well past 1:00 a.m., ET, so it would be interesting to see those numbers beyond 11:00 p.m.
The series premiere of ABC's WICKED CITY tanked. It was a distant 4th place. It was the worst rated program of the big 4 networks, for the night, and tied iZOMBIE in the A18-34 demo, for last place. It may now be the frontrunner for being the first series cancelled this season. The other three ABC programs were consistent... consistently pulling poor numbers. Only BEST TIME EVER makes the two comedies look half decent.
THE VOICE took a hit with the ball game going head to head with it. Week-to-week, THE VOICE lost 1.4 million viewers and two tenths in the A18-49 demo. CHICAGO FIRE was actually up over last week's numbers.
CBS was a competitive second place, just three million viewers less than FOX and right with NBC in the demos. NCIS was the most watched program of the night, with near 16.5 million viewers. NCIS: NEW ORLEANS retention was in the 80% range.
