Final Broadcast Ratings: October 21, 2015
Wednesday is EMPIRE day and that allows FOX to have its one day of sweeping the ratings. The hit series posted a 4.4 rating in the A18-34 demo and a 5.3 rating in the A25-54 demo, along with 12.3 million viewers. That is even with last weeks ratings, which means the numbers may have finally leveled off.
ABC was second in the younger demographic ratings, as the four sitcoms averaged a 1.3 rating in that category. However, all but MODERN FAMILY saw losses in the A18-34 demo, over last week's numbers, with THE GOLDBERGS losing about 30%. NASHVILLE was relatively flat from last week.
CBS had two of the top three most watched programs of the night, between SURVIVOR (9.1 million) and CRIMINAL MINDS (8.5 million). Week-to-week in viewership, SURVIVOR was flat, CRIMINAL MINDS lost 800k, and CODE BLACK gained 150,000. All three series saw losses in one or more of the demographic ratings.
NBC placed 4th overall on the night, not doing horrible, but not doing all that good either. THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA was the lowest rated program of the night, including The CW, in the A18-34 demo, with a 0.5 score. CHICAGO PD won the 10 p.m. hour in the A18-34 demo and the A18-49 demo, but was behind CODE BLACK in total viewers and the A25-54 demo.
The CW slipped a notch in the ratings, from last week's numbers.
