Final Broadcast Ratings: October 20, 2015
It was a very mixed and competitive night in the Tuesday night ratings, as just three tenths of a point separated the five networks in the A18-34 demographic and less than a point in the A18-49 demo. CBS was the most watched network of the evening and tied for the top score in the A25-54 demo. NBC took the two younger demo, just edging out CBS, and also tied in the older demo category.
ABC scored with a pair of Halloween themed specials. IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN CHARLIE BROWN pulled in 6.0 million viewers and a 2.0 rating in the A18-49 demo, to take second place in the 8 p.m. half hour. It out performed last week's THE MUPPETS by nearly 50% in the A18-49 demo and added 1.6 million viewers. At 8:30, TOY STORY OF TERROR held about 80% of its lead in and posted better numbers than last week's FRESH OFF THE BOAT.
THE FLASH is holding steady in its third week. With a 1.2 rating n the A18-34 demo, it was second in the 8 p.m. hour and its 1.4 rating in the A18-49 demo was third best for the hour. iZOMBIE grew in viewers, week-to-week, but was mixed in the three demographics.
For NBC, if it wasn't for THE VOICE, it would be contending with FOX and The CW in the ratings. The singing competition series was mostly flat in the three demos, from last week's ratings, but saw viewership rise 900k. CHICAGO FIRE also had viewership rise, but the demos fall a tenth of a point, from last week's premiere.
CBS was relatively unchanged as all three dramas stay consistent, week-to-week.
