Final Broadcast Ratings: October 18, 2015

With a very compelling matchup, SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL rebounded nicely, from last week's season low. The Colts vs Patriots matchup collected 22.8 million viewers and a solid 8.2 rating in Adults 18-49. That is up 3.2 million viewers and 2.2 points in the A18-49 demo, over last week's ratings.

CBS had a strong average, thanks to an hour of overrun of its national late afternoon game. 60 MINUTES did benefit from the nice lead in, but by 9 p.m., the halo effect had ended. CSI: CYBER, starting just before 11:00 p.m., really drug down the average of the night, when adding in that 5th hour of programming.

ABC had a Jekyll & Hyde night, with AFV and BLOOD AND OIL pulling in bad numbers, while OUAT and QUANTICO pulled in relatively decent numbers. I can see BLOOD & OIL gone before the November sweeps, so as not to hurt QUANTICO's numbers.

FOX preempted FAMILY GUY for a new episode of BOB'S BURGERS and the ratings reflect the change. the 9 p.m. hour sank to a season low and even BROOKLYN NINE-NINE felt the affect of not having viewers stick around for the hit animated comedy. It looks like another season of just 16 episodes of FAMILY GUY, on FOX.
