Complete Nielsen Ratings: September 14 - 20, 2015
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #78:
The final week of the 2014-15 season was swept by NBC, with their combinations of NFL games and summer season finales of their popular competition series. AMERICA'S GOT TALENT ended successful 2015 season with the last two episodes taking the #8 and #9 spots and averaging 10.5 million viewers over the two nights. AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR was the #18 show of the week, as it closed it its 2015 campaign.
NBC also had success with the series premiere of BEST TIME EVER WITH NEIL PATRICK HARRIS (#14) and the two Thursday night specials featuring Jeff Dunham (#15) and Magician, Mat Franco (#29). And, of course, Sunday Night Football was the #2 program of the week, hauling in 26.4 million viewers. In total, NBC had 11 shows in the top 30, leaving just two programs outside of that group.
CBS was a strong second place as THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL kicked off its 7 week run, on the network. The game was third for the week, with 21.1 million viewers and capped off a one-two-three win for the NFL at the top of the chart. All but one CBS program finished 47th or better, with 12 of them in the top 30.
FOX had a nice surge to challenge CBS for the #2 spot. An NFL overrun (#1), the EMMY AWARDS (#7) and a two hour finale of MASTERCHEF (#30) helped push it well past ABC. The network only programmed 10 shows over its 16 hour schedule, with four making the top 30.
The only ABC bright spot of the week was the season premiere of DANCING WITH THE STARS (#5). The three separate programs around the franchise are ABC's only top 30 representatives. Everything else finished outside of the top 30.
The CW is still a few of weeks away from the premiere of most of its shows, so good ratings was a challenge. Its top program of the week was AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL (#64), with 1.5 million viewers.
