Ratings Review: UnREAL (Season One)

In the cable TV landscape that is filled with reality series, it is interesting that Lifetime brought us the series UnREAL, a scripted dramedy. The freshman series received high praise from Forbes, Entertainment Weekly and The New York Times. It was not surprising Lifetime renewed the series for another 10 episodes, in 2016.

The Live+SD averages for the series were 700,000 viewers and a 0.3 rating in each of the three demographic ratings categories. Not strong, but promising numbers for a Lifetime series.

The DVR numbers show the A18-49 ratings growing by about 0.3 to 0.4 points, by the 7th day of viewing an episode.
