SyFy has officially given the go for a 4th SHARKNADO movie.
Ad-free Hulu may cost $14:
Hulu is considering launching an ad-free subscription service this fall. The price range is said to be between $12 to $14, per month. Currently Hulu, with advertisements, runs about $8 per month. Can you say "Overpriced!!??"
FilmOn gets court victory:
A federal judge rules that FilmOn, a OTT streaming service, could "potentially" be entitled to a compulsory license to stream broadcasters over the internet. Basically, the broadcasters have to license their programming, to a digital provider, at below market rates.
Another series looking to get rebooted:
NBC is developing a new version of the 90's syndicated series XENA: WARRIOR PRINCES. Sam Rami is an executive producer and the original XENA, Lucy Lawless, will be a part of the production.
Bounce to stream PBC matches:
Bounce TV will live stream its Premier Boxing Champions matches, on its web site, starting August 2, 2015.
Stars cancels veteran series:
DaVINCI'S DEMONS, soon to premiere its third season, will end after the third season.
CBS greenlights dramedy:
BRAINDEAD, a sci-fi dramedy from the creators of THE GOOD WIFE, has been picked up for a 13 episode run for the summer of 2016.
More Gordon Ramsey:
FOX still has not found anything to stick in the summer, has renewed MASTERCHEF for a 7th season.
FX cancels freshman comedy:
After a lot of hype and promotion, FX cancelled the low rated comedy, THE COMEDIANS.
