The low rated, revolutionary war drama, TURN: WASHINGTON'S SPIES, is getting a third season on AMC, for 2016.
ABC Family renews freshman series:
The new ABC family series STITCHERS, has been picked up for a second season.
Stop the COUNTING:
TLC has cancelled the long running reality series 19 KIDS AND COUNTING.
More leaving THE VIEW:
Next to vacate the sinking ship that is THE VIEW is Nicole Wallace, after one season.
Moving to the Saturday night death slots...:
NBC is moving its two Thursday dramas to Saturday nights, after posting ultra low ratings. HANNIBAL, already cancelled and AQARIUS, recently renewed, will take over Saturday nights, from 9 to 11 p.m. DATELINE will take over the two vacated hours, on Thursdays.
FOX sells interest in Hispanic network:
21st Century Fox is selling its interest in MundoFox to the other owner of the network, RCN Television.
Who has 66 million subscribers?:
Netflix announced it has 66 million world wide subscribers, 42.5 million of which are here in the United States.
NBCU finishes upfronts:
The networks of NBCU have reported a take of $6 billion for the 2015-16 season. that is up about 2% from last season's take.
Comcast gets into OTT streaming business:
The cable giant is testing an offering of a dozen networks, including the major broadcast networks and HBO. One hook of the service is that it only works with subscribers of Comcast internet service.
