ESPN loses substantial subscriber base:
With cable subscribers cutting back on their bundles, or going OTT, the most expensive cable network has lost 7.2% of its subscribers, over the past year. Thats is 3.2 million subs that ESPN is not getting the $6.61 fee average from cable services. that equals to a loss of $21.15 million per month, and counting.
HBO renews freshman series:
The new spring series, BALLERS, has been picked up for a second season, by HBO.
Another remake on the way:
FOX has ordered a pilot for the drama URBAN COWBOY, based on the 1980 movie of the same name, starring John Travolta and Debra Winger.
CHEERS star passes away at age 71:
Roger Rees, who played Robin Colcor on CHEERS, passed away at his home, after a brief illness.
More TEEN WOLF:
Just after the start of season five, MTV has renewed the series for a sixth season.
