US Box Office Results: June 12 - 14, 2015
There was no doubt that JURASSIC WORLD would be this weekend's #1 movie. It was just a matter of how much would it bring in. With just under $205 million, JURASSIC WORLD is the second biggest opening, of all-time, behind 2012's THE AVENGERS ($207 million). It out paced AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON by $14 million. After just three days, JURASSIC PARK is already at 150 on the all-time domestic gross list, and should have an easy time making the top 10 of all time.
Last week's #1 movie, SPY, feel to the number two spot, raking in another $16 million, for a 10 day total of $57 million.
SAN ANDREAS, in its third week, passes the $100 million level, now with over $119 million.
AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON is nearing the end of its theatrical run, now with $444.7 million, ranking 8th on the all-time domestic list. It should pass THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, for the #7 spot, will have a tough time reaching the original STAR WARS ($461 million), for the #6 spot.
