Disney animated movie to get TV series treatment:
Setting a 2017 premiere date will be the new Disney channel animated series TANGLED, based on the 2010 movie.
Showtime goes OTT:
Following HBO and CBS, Showtime will begin offering its TV services directly to the consumer, starting in July. The online based service will cost $10.99 per month.
ABC moves fall schedule:
Gone off the 2015 fall schedule, for ABC, is the Sunday drama, KINGS & PROPHETS. In its place, ABC moves the new series QUANTICO, which was originally slated for Tuesday nights. With those movies, ABC did not state what program will now fill the vacated Tuesday, 10 p.m., time slot.
More PRISON BREAK:
On the heals of 24 and THE X-FILES, FOX is developing another series revival, PRISON BREAK. The limited series revival would be a open and closed story.
E! jumps on Jenner bandwagon:
Premiering July 26th, E will begin the eight hour reality series, I AM CAIT, following the former Olympian's life as a transgender woman.
Adult Swim renews series:
CHILDREN"S HOSPITAL was given a seventh season order by Adults Swim.
Comedy Central picks up series:
Set to debut in 2016, Comedy Central orders 10 episodes of the new series NOT SAFE WITH NIKKI GLASER, plus a one hour standup special of the comedian.
HBO renews freshman series:
The animated series ANIMALS was picked up for a second season, by HBO.
More ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT:
according to producer Brian Grazer, a new season of the comedy ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT will be coming to Netflix, in 2016. Production is slated to begin in January.
