Ratings Review: AMERICAN CRIME (Season One)

With episode restriction on HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, from its lead actress, ABC is forced to place another series in the Thursday night, 10 p.m. time slot. AMERICAN CRIME was called to fill the void, but failed at keeping its lead in audience with the network.

The series premiere shows promising numbers, but with in a few weeks, AMERICAN CRIME was performing no better, and perhaps worse ratings, than some of ABC's summer dramas. It regularly lost about half the audience delivered by SCANDAL, and dropped even more of the A18-49 viewers. Not quite sure what ABC sees in the series to bring it back for another season?

For the Live+SD ratings, AMERICAN CRIME averaged 4.98 million viewers and a 1.2 rating in Adults 18-49. It ranked 85th for the season, in total viewers, and 90th in the A18-49 ratings. The DVR growth isn't two badd, getting roughly two million more viewers and a half a point in the demo.
