Preliminary Ratings: Monday 06/01/15

ABC edged NBC to win the Monday night ratings, with a fairly decent premiere sampling of THE WHISPERS. The new drama series collected 5.7 million viewers, a 1.5 rating in Adults 18-49, and a 2.0 rating in Adults 25-54. It ranked third, overall, in the two demographic categories and swept the 10 p.m. hour. THE WHISPERS out performed the season finale of CASTLE, in the A18-49 ratings.

Also premiering on the night was FOX's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, which should have been axed years ago, to less than stellar numbers. The 3.9 million viewers, 1.3 rating in Adults 18-49 demo and 1.5 rating in Adults 25-54, rank it 3rd in its time slot, just slightly over the CBS repeats. Last year's premiere drew 5.3 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in the A18-49 demo.

NBC saw growth in AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR, while THE ISLAND remained flat, yet the network was second in all three demo categories, and third in total viewers.
