CBS has an easy time sweeping the Thursday night ratings, as all of the programming on the big 4 networks, were in originals, plus an hour from the CW. BIG BROTHER was #1 show of the night, again, grabbing 6.4 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in the A18-49 demographic. The season premiere of UNDER THE DOME followed it, at 9 p.m., posting the second best numbers of the night. But, DOME was down 3.2 million viewers and nearly 40% in the demo, from last year's premiere.
On FOX, was the series premiere of the game show BOOM! placing third in its time slot, it posted sub 1.0 rating in the A18-39 and A18-49 demos, and an even 1.0 in the A25-54 demo. At 9 p.m., WAYWARD PINE returns, after a week off, remained flat in the demos, but dropped in overall viewership.
NBC edged out ABC for third, mainly on the back of DATELINE. The newsmagazine was the most watched program of the night and was 3rd over all, in the demo ratings. Just renewed AQUARIUS finished a distant 4th in its 9pm slot, begging the question of WHY did NBC renew this? At 10 p.m., HANNIBAL answers the question of WHY it was cancelled. it was the lowest rated and watched program, from the big 4 networks, and tied both CW programs in the A18-34 demographics.
