With the final game of the NBA Finals, ABC once again, swept the weekly ratings. That game 6 of The Finals drew 23.3 million viewers, along with high 8s to low 9s in the three demographic categories. It was the most watched NBA game, ever, on ABC and the most watched in the last couple of decades. ABC also found ratings gold in their new version of CELEBRITY FAMILY FUED, as it was the #3 show of the week, hauling in 8.7 million viewers and a 1.6 demo in A18-34 demographic.
ABC had a total of seven shows in the top 30, with five of those shows occupying the top 10. Three series premieres made the top third of the chart, with ASTRONAUT WIVES CLUB ranking 17th and BATTLEBOTS ranking 19th.
FOX was the #2 network of the week, thanks to a decent showing by the Saturday night coverage of the USA Open Golf Tournament on Saturday (#37) and Sunday (#7) and the Women's World Cup (#25), on Tuesday night. Of its regular series, only MASTERCHEF made the top 30.
NBC was the #3 network, placing just three programs in the top 30, but AMERICA'S GOT TALENT was the #2 show of the week. The decisive game 6 of the Stanley Cup was #20, drawing 5.4 million viewers and a 2.8 rating in Adults 18-49.
CBS was a distant 4th place, in the major demographics, but it is still in repeats mode. Only THE BRIEFCASE and 48 HOURS were the network's only original programs, filling three hours of the schedule. In comparison, NBC aired 16.5 hours of new programming. ABC placed 14 hours on the schedule and FOX was all original, with 15+ hours.
