Box Office Results: June 26 - 28, 2015
For the third week in a row, JURASSIC WORLD is you #1 movie in America, hauling in an additional $54 million. That brings its domestic total to an even $500 million, pushing past two STAR WARS movies, to the #5 position, on the all-time list. Worldwide, JURASSIC WORLD had grossed over one Billion dollars.
Just a couple of million dollars behind, INSIDE OUT hold on the the second place slot. The Pixar film has now grosses over $184 million, becoming the 5th highest movie of the year. It should pass CINDERELLA this week, for the #4 spot.
The top new movie of the week, was TED 2, the sequel to the 2012 movie. With $33 million in its opening weekend, it is nearly $20 million behind the first movie and will have a near impossible chacee at making the $218 million, TED grossed domestically.
Family movie, MAX, did well its first weekend, bringing in over $12 million.
