  • FOX axes veteran comedy
  • CBS gets a Superhero

FOX axes veteran sitcom:
After three seasons of low ratings, FOX finally cancels the comedy THE MINDY PROJECT.



Superhero lands at CBS:
CBS made it official by ordering SUPERGIRL to series. Expect more details at the CBS Upfront presentation, next week.



CW renews freshman series:
Mid-season series, iZOMBIE, was renewed for 2015016 season. Expect episode count and premiere date to be revealed during the CW Upfront presentation, on the 14th.



THE SIMPSONS Continues one:
FOX has renewed the long running comedy series, THE SIMPSONS, for two more seasons. Running through the 2016-17 season, the series will have 28 seasons under its belt.



SyFy Orders new series:
Based on a best selling book, SyFy orders the series THE MAGICIANS, with 12 episodes for the first season. It has a very similar feel to THE LIBRARIANS and WAREHOUSE 13.



TNT moves premieres:
The new series PUBLIC MORALS will now premiere on August 25, while sophomore drama, LEGENDS, will move to a fall run.



PlayStation Network renews series:
POWERS, the original series from PlayStation Network, was given a second season order by the OT service.



CW pulls series from schedule:
As expected, The CW pulled CEDRIC'S BARBER BATTEL from the schedule and will begin airing two episodes of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? during the 8 p.m. hour.



E! new slate of shows:
During its upfront presentation, E! has announced the following new shows;

- JUST JILLIAN: Staring Jillian Michales (Reality)
- THE COMMENT SECTION: From Joel McHale (Comedy News)
- FAMOUSLY SINGLE: (Dating Reality)
- HOLLYWOOD PRENUP: (Reality)
- GIRLS GUIDE TO SPORTS: (Talk Show)
- INSTAFAMOUS: (Celebrity News)
- KIERRA & HARRY DOUGLAS PROJECT: (Reality)



Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang:
IFC has renewed the comedy series COMEDY BANG! BANG! for a fifth season.



Nickelodeon renews kids series:
Freshman kids comedy MAKE IT POP was renewed for a second season by Nick.
