Ratings Review: MAD MEN (Season Seven - 2015)
MAD MEN, one of the more overrated TV shows in quite a while, closed up its series run, posting is third largest viewing audience, with the series finale. That "large" number was under 3.3 million viewers, for live_SD viewing.
The series was never anything close to being a mass appeal series. Nearly half of its 92 episodes pulled less than two million viewers. Only three episode pulled over 3 million. I like to say this is a series that everyone SAYS they watch, but no one really watches.
For the finale season, MAD MEN averaged 2.12 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in Adults 18-49, in the Live+SD ratings. Viewership rises to about 3.2 million viewers and a 1.2 demo rating, in the Live+3 ratings. The Live+7 numbers add just a couple hundred thousand more viewers and no movement in the demo.
