Primetime Cable Ratings: April 30, 2015

The NFL showed why it is the king of the sports world, on Thursday night, as the first round of the NFL Draft, on ESPN, nearly doubled up the top NBA game of the night. The Draft collected just over seven million viewers and a 3.0 rating in Adults 18-49. Add in the NFL Network simulcast, and the event had a total audience of 8.8 million viewers and a 3.7 demo. That would make the NFL Draft the highest rated program of the night, in the A18-49 demographic, topping THE BIG BANG THEORY, on CBS.

As we mentioned, the NBA playoff game drew 3.9 million viewers and a 1.7 demo. That is the second best numbers of a Playoff game, this week, just behind the late tuesday night game. The early game could only muster up 1.7 million viewers and a 0.7 demo.
