Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 05/28/15

NBC debuted the new limited series, AQUARIUS, to less than stellar results. The David Duchovny series averaged just 5.7 million viewers, a 1.0 A18-49 rating and a 1.6 A25-54 rating. It tied for 2nd place, in the 9 p.m. hour, and first in the 10 p.m. hour. But, there was no other original programming during the 10 p.m. time slot. AQUARIUS was the third most watched show of the evening, but six other programs did better in the A18-49 demo, including an encore of THE ODD COUPLE. NBC was first in total viewers and tied with FOX for the top A25-54 rating, but was second, just edging CBS, in the A18-49 ratings.

FOX swept the younger age demographic ratings, as BONES and WAYWARD PINES were the top original programs in those demographics. Only a repeat of BIG BANG did better in the demos.

The finale of 500 QUESTIONS fizzled with viewers, ranking 4th in both hours. ABC placed fourth in all categories, except A18-34, where it placed 2nd.

CBS did very well, with an all repeat night, ranking second in total viewers and was right with FOX and NBC in the A18-49 and A25-54 demographic ratings.
