Final Broadcast Ratings: May 6, 2015
CBS was the most watched network on Wednesday night, with a strong one-two punch of SURVIVOR and CRIMINAL MINDS. The season finale of CRIMINAL MINDS was the most watched show of the night, drawing 9.6 million viewers. But, that is well below its season average, as the spring episodes have dropped below 10 million viewers.
SURVIVOR was the second most watched show of the evening and was the top rated hour long program, in both the A18-49 ratings and the A25-54 ratings. Week-to-week, ratings slipped a notch by one tenth of a point in the A18-49 demographic.
ABC was tops in the A18-49 ratings as it sported the top two programs in the A18-49 ratings (MODERN FAMILY and BLACK-ISH), and three of the top five shows in the A25-54 demographic. Eight and ten o'clock hours did slip in the ratings, over last week, with the nine o'clock hour holding relatively steady.
FOX's AMERICAN IDOL is a shadow of itself, but still managed to keep FOX competitive. 6.9 million viewers, over two hours, kept FOX #2 in total viewership, but #3 in the A18-49 ratings.
With no crossover episodes airing, NBC's Wednesday night performed rather sluggish, in the ratings. The network was 4th in all three categories reported. Week-to-week losses were over one million in total viewers and 20% in both the A18-49 and A25-54 demos.
