Weekly Cable Network Averages Chart: April 13 - 19, 2015

FOX NEWS was the most watched cable network, in primetime, last week, averaging near 1.7 million viewers per night. Although the network rarely pops up on the A18-49 rankings, it does have a solid base with cable subscribers. According to a CNN Money article, FOX NEWS is approaching $1.50 per subscriber, as new deals with cable companies are being made. The channel has over 87 million sub scribers, so each month FOX NEWS' income is about to push $130 million per month.

ESPN is down to the #9 spot, with just under 1.2 million viewers per night. With college basketball done and NFL Football still five months away, it will be lean times for ESPN, in the ratings.

HGTV has made a steady climb upward over the last few months as it is becoming a destination channel for most programs, and filler for when not much else is on. It is now playing with the big boys of cable and doing rather well.
