Ratings Review: LOOKING (Season Two)
After two seasons, HBO has pulled the plug on the dramedy series, LOOKING. Even though the premium cable service does not care about ratings, it still needs to see if subscribers are watching their original content, and very few were not looking for LOOKING.
Just 320,000 viewers were the most the series could gather for a single episode. Thrice, the series couldn't even manage to get 200k to tune in. The A18-49 rating must have been near zero as I never saw the reporting of that demographic for the series. These are number we see and expect from a Showtime series, not an HBO series.
It was a smart decision for HBO to drop the show after two seasons and try something else. With HBO NOW coming, stronger content is needed, year round. To keep subscribers 12 months out of the year, and not just the three GAME OF THRONES is on.
