Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 04/08/15
CBS edged out NBC to sweep the Wednesday night ratings. CBS won two of the three hours, in both viewership and in the A18-49 ratings, while CSI: CYBER dropped to second in the demo, at 10 p.m. SURVIVOR topped a special Wednesday edition of THE VOICE, at 8 p.m., 2.4 demo rating to a 2.1, respectively.NBC was in the thick of things because THE VOICE preempted THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA. Week-to-week, the 8 p.m. time slot improved by 3.3 million viewers and 133% in the A18-49 demographic. The improved lead in pushed LAW & ORDER up by one million viewers and 20% in the demo. CHICAGO PD remained mostly flat.
ABC fell back to third on the night as MODERN FAMILY aired an encore, surrounded by original episodes by the rest of the line up. The network's average dropped 1.2 million viewers and 16% in the demo, because of the hit series' repeat.
FOX was four because AMERICAN IDOL posted a season low in the ratings, and dropped about 20% in the major demographic categories, including total viewers.

CBS - 9.2 million viewers, 1.9 rating in A18-49
CW - 1.1 million viewers, 0.3 rating in A18-49

NBC - 7.9 million viewers, 1.8 rating in A18-49
