Preliminary Ratings: Tuesday 04/14/15
CBS edged out NBC for a tuesday sweep in the ratings, with the network posting three of the four most watched programs of the night and winning two of the three hours, in the A18-49 ratings. CBS also won the last two hours of the night, in the A25-54 ratings, with NCIS coming in second to THE VOICE. NCIS was the only one of the three crime dramas to drop, week-to-week, in the ratings.
NBC's only good ratings of the night was THE VOICE. The singing competition series was the #1 show in both the A18-49 demo and the A25-54 demo ratings. The two sitcoms finished third in the hour, with FOX in repeats and the CW, being the CW.
ABC was a distant 3rd place on the night, with the 8 p.m. shows finishing in 4th place, behind THE FLASH, on the CW. AGENTS OF SHIELD was second in the hour, in the A18-49 ratings, but third in viewership, pulling under four million viewers. An encore of JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE with the cast of the new AVENGERS movie did about as good as a new episode of FOREVER, in the demographic ratings. Considering the original airing of the JKL episode was the night before, it did relatively well.
FOX is a hot mess. It lost to the CW in total viewership and in the A18-49 ratings, and could only manage a tie in the A25-54 demo.
