Preliminary Ratings: Tuesday 04/07/15

NBC extended THE VOICE and cut the sitcoms, for an easy win of the Tuesday night ratings. THE VOICE was the hight rated and most watched program of the night, pulling in 10.9 million viewers and a 2.7 rating in the A18-49 demo, from 8 to 10 p.m. That added hour not only brought up the nightly average, but improved the lead in, and ratings, for CHICAGO FIRE. The drama's ratings improved 25% in the demo and 22% in viewership, from when ONE BIG HAPPY was the lead in to THE VOICE being the lead in. So, say bye-bye- to the comedies.

CBS was the most watched network, but was a distant second place in the demo. All three dramas saw losses from their last original episodes.

With THE FLASH airing an encore, The CW had a chance to see how iZOMBIE can stand on its own, and it did relatively well. Both viewership and the demo increased from its lea din and were right there with its season average. Expect a definite renewal for the series, come May.

Despite airing original episodes, ABC and FOX were mostly out of the mix, finishing a distant 3rd and 4th, respectively
