Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 04/26/15
ABC topped the Sunday ratings, with wins in the A18-49 and A25-54 demographics, on the strength of freshman series SECRETS & LIES. The spring drama tied ONCE UPON A TIME in the A18-49 ratings and topped it in the A25-54 ratings. SECRETS & LIES was also grew its viewership from its OUAT lead in. Could this be the changing of the guard for ABC?
CBS was the most watched network, but was 4th in the A18-49 demo, and 3rd in the A25-54 demo. 60 MINUTES was the network's top show in the younger demographics and a close second in total viewership. MADAM SECRETARY was the most watched show of the night, but was a distant 4th place in the A18-49 ratings, at 8 p.m.
The FOX comedies didn't draw a lot of total viewers, but did well in the A18-49 ratings. The two hour block, from 8 to 10 p.m., worked well together as they basically drew the same numbers over the two hour period. The block was also a close #2, to ABC, in the A18-49 ratings.
NBC was fourth place, again. AMERICAN ODYSSEY is toast and should be pulled from the schedule, based on the latest numbers. It was the lowest rated show of the night, in both the A18-49 ratings and A25-54 ratings, and was a bottom five, in total viewers. AD-THE BIBLE CONTINUES is only a little better, but viewers are not connecting with this series, like the did in 2013, with the Original series, on History.
