Final Broadcast Ratings: April 19, 2015
CBS sweeps the Sunday night ratings, on the back of the 50th ACM AWARDS, three hour event. Held at Dallas' AT&T Stadium, the Country Music Awards program averaged 16.0 million viewers and a 3.6 rating in Adults 18-49. That is up about two million viewers and 10%, in the demo, from last year's event. CBS may now also have enough to tie NBC in the season-to-date ratings n the A18-49 demographic.
ABC edged out FOX for second place, despite FOX's schedule be half filled with encore episodes. ABC's most watched program, again, was AFV, with 6.4 million viewers. AFV was also within three tenths of a ratings point of ONCE UPON A TIME's demo rating, with a 1.4 score. OUAT has quickly sunk down in the ratings, perhaps further than most series are experiencing this spring. REVENGE is a clear weak point fo the night and might be why there are rumors it is done after this season.
The 9 p.m. hour of FOX is looking relatively good, with LAST MAN STANDING holding onto a good portion of the A18-49 lead in, from FAMILY GUY, and increased total viewership.
NBC is back to total shambles on Sunday nights. The once promising A.D. - THE BIBLE CONTINUES dropped over 30% in the demo ratings, week-to-week, plus a drop of 1.5 million viewers. This series would have been better of airing in February - April, ending on Easter Sunday, instead of kicking-off on the holiday. If a second season comes, move it to a different night.
