Final Broadcast Ratings: April 13, 2015
FOX's freshman drama GOTHAM returned with its first new episode in five weeks, but someone failed to let the viewers know about it. The BATMAN prequel series posted a series low 1.5 rating in Adults 18-49 and just 4.5 million viewers. this is about 1.4 million viewers under the previous low. Someone at FOX needs to do a better job at scheduling the series and not leave huge gaps between original episode, but still airing repeats.
FOX was a distant 4th place on the night, with THE FOLLOWING ducking below GOTHAM's numbers and becoming the lowest rated original program of Monday night, from a Big 4 Network.
ABC was the most watched network of the night, thanks to a strong showing from DANCING WITH THE STARS. The dance competition series was the most watched show of the night, topping THE VOICE by nearly two million viewers. The 2.1 demo rating it posted was second best of the night, topping the CBS drama, SCORPION. The nightly average was down by an encore of CASTLE.
NBC was #1 in the A18-498 ratings, with THE VOICE easily posting the highest rating (2.9). It posted near identical numbers as last Monday's episode, despite not having the NCAA Championship game against it, this week. But, THE VOICE does seem to have stabilized in the mid to high two demo rating, after a free fall after the first couple of weeks, above a four rating. THE NIGHT SHIFT was at its season average for the night.
CBS was back with its regular line up, with new episodes and tied for second place in the A18-49 demographic. The numbers are nothing to shout about, but the network did win the 10 p.m. hour, in both reported categories.
