Complete Nielsen Ratings: April 6 - 12, 2015
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #93:
CBS had a clean sweep of the weekly ratings, powered by the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship game, on Monday night. The game commanded 28.3 million viewers and a solid 9.1 rating in Adults 18-49. The pre-game show ranked 21st, collecting 7.9 million viewers.
CBS had the top five shows of the week. Seven of the top 10 and a total of
19 in the top 30. Only six of the 26 CBS programs of the week, placed outside of the top 30.
NBC managed to capture second place for the week, mainly on three nights of THE VOICE. All three edition ranked in the top 10, with Monday and Tuesday editions in the top 10. A pumped up CHICAGO FIRE did manage to squeeze inside the top 20, ranked 19th. NBC had a total of seven top 30 shows.
ABC fell back to third this week, but it only had two hit shows in encores (MODERN FAMILY and CASTLE). DANCING WITH THE STARS is ABC's only top 20 entry and just three other series made it inside the top 30.
FOX seems to only get worse each week. It barely had a top 30 program, with AMERICAN IDOL ranking 30th on the week. BONES (#46) and the Saturday night NASCAR race (#50) are the only other FOX shows to rank 64th, or better.
A quick look at the season races now has CBS and NBC in a near tie for first place in the A18-49 demographic ratings. Both have a 8 share in the category, with NBC averaging 3.24 million viewers in the demo, while CBS is close behind with 3.01 million viewers. NBC currently sports a 2.6 demo rating to CBS' 2.4 rating. But, expect NBC to fall back to at least a 2.5 very soon. It wall come down to the wire on who will win the season title, but considering NBC had the Super Bowl this year, I would say CBS has already proven its superiority.
