TruTV picks up scripted comedy:
The cable network has ordered 10 episodes of the comedy THOSE WHO CAN'T, a sitcom about three high school teachers. The series is scheduled for an early 2016 premiere.
NBC developing streaming service:
Lookingreat at a subscription PRICE UNDER $4, NBC is developing an OTT comedy streaming channel. Along with original programming, THE TONIGHT SHOW and SNL would be featured on the channel.
FX wants more of low rated sitcom:
The ultra low rated sitcom MAN SEEKING WOMAN, which only draws a few hundred thousand viewers each week, has been given a second season order by the network.
More LIP SYNC BATTLE:
Spike has ordered eight additional episodes of the the new series, set to premiere on April 2nd.
I CAN DO THAT!:
NBC has ordered 6 episodes of the variety srties, hosted by Marlon Wayans. The competition series will feature celebrities competing inot talent categories
Also coming to Spike:
Spike also picked up 10 episodes of a new competition series, SWEAT, INC., which will star Jillian Michaels.
IFC axes freshman comedy:
GARFUNKEL & OATS is a one and done comedy, as IFC cancelled it after just one season.
WE renews two series:
MARRY MARY and L.A. HAIR have both been renewed for a 4th season, by WE TV. The network also adds CUTTING IT: IN THE ATL to its list of series.
Daytime Emmys back on TV:
After trying a streaming only option last year, The Daytime Emmy Awards will be back on TV. POP, formally the TV Guide Network, will carry the 2015 edition.
TruTV and David Spade:
David Spade is launching an 8 episode prank series on TruTV, titled FAMELESS.
