Ratings Review: RED BAND SOCIETY (Season One)

RED BAND SOCIETY may be the series that best typifies how the FOX fall season went. High expectations, low ratings. The series never attracted an audience, even as just a sample to see if they would like it.

The ratings for the series are no better than what the CW gets for  ARROW, on the same night, and for a network that is over 25 years old, results need to be hight that that. But, it took FOX 10 episodes before it finally decided to move the low rated drama to Saturday nights. This should have been done a lot sooner, perhaps by mid-november, at the latest.

Percentage-wise, The seven day lift in the numbers was not bad, growing over 50%, on most episodes, but when you start with a small number, even big gains are still small numbers.

For the season, RED BAND SOCIETY averaged 2.70 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in Adults 18-49. The L+7 demo average, was around a 1.7 rating.
