Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 03/25/15

With EMPIRE out of the the picture, CBS rose to take Wednesday night, with a sweep in the ratings. From SURVIVOR to CSI: CYBER, CBS was the most watched network of the night, and took the A18-49 ratings in the first two of the three hours of primetime.

FOX was a close second place, with AMERICAN IDOL now going solo on the night. However, the ratings dropped 1.4 million viewers and 29% in the demo, from its last Wednesday night telecast, on March 11th.

ABC was back with original episodes after two weeks of encores. The comedies took a hit of about 20%, from that March 4th broadcast, except BLACK-ISH, which only dropped less than 10%. It should do relatively better now, with EMPIRE gone from the time slot.

NBC, was a 4th place network, again. MYSTERIES OF LAURA tied for last, in its time slot, with ARROW, in the A18-49 ratings. LAW & ORDER dropped in total viewers, but gained more younger viewers, than its lead in, to place 4th in its 9 p.m. slot. CHICAGO PD was the best the network had to offer and it did win the 10 p.m. hour, in the demo, with a 1.5 rating.
