Preliminary Ratings: Monday 03/02/15
The third season premiere of THE FOLLOWING looks to have bombed at the starting gate, collecting just 4.8 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in the A18-49 ratings. Last year, airing on a Sunday night, THE FOLLOWING drew 11.2 million viewers and a 4.4 demo rating. That is a loss of 6.4 million viewers (-57%) and nearly three full ratings points (-64%) in the demo. With CBS and The CW in encores, it should have had a decent chance at good numbers.
Week two of THE VOICE held up well, gaining 300k in total viewers and a loss of just 7% in the demo, over last week. But, the early stages of the competition always do well. It is the second half of the season when the ratings begin to really erode, for NBC.
THE NIGHT SHIFT , on the surface looks, good, week to week, gaining viewers and only losing a tenth of a point, in the A18-49 demographic, but with the other 10 p.m. series in encores, a better performance should be expected.
What was looking like a great season for THE BACHELOR is now looking to regress back a few steps as the series lost close to one million viewers and 8% in the demo, over last week's ratings. With just a few week's left in the season, THE FINAL ROSE may be a bit of an after thought, for viewers.
